Disable URL redirection: When you are wanting to remove or disable the URL redirection, you will have to remove the existing A record which is labeled (URL redirection). You can replace it with a new IP or the previous one. Allow for the records to update and the URL redirection will be removed.
Below are instructions on how to remove the A record.
- Login to your 1st domains account, and you should be on the Account Manager page, select 'Manage Domains & Services'
- Next select the domain name you wish to manage.
- Click on "Manage DNS Zone Records"
- The A record should show the value 210.55.30.93 [URL Redirection]
- Click on the host name. This is the underlined domain name in the host name column. Clicking on the host name will make it editable.
- Now update the value to the previous IP address or a new one.
- Click "Update"
Depending on the TTL, it can take anywhere from a few minutes to up to an hour to fully update globally. If you are still seeing the URL redirect, it is likely cached in your browser. Clearing the cache for your domain should resolve the issue.
