Wanting to register a domain? You can register your domain name online with 1st Domains at https://www.1stdomains.nz/register
On the 1st Domains website, you need to type the domain name you wish to register into the "Search for your new domain" field then press "Search".
This will list domains with the extension you were wanting plus other options. You can then see whether the domain is available to be registered. If it is, tick it and click "Register the selected domain name(s)". Please double-check the spelling of your domain, as it cannot be changed after the registration process. If the spelling is incorrect, you will need to register the correctly spelled domain.
The next screen takes you to the options of creating a new account or using an existing account, if you do not already have an account with 1st Domains then press "Create account".
You will now be prompted to enter your registrant contact details. In section 2 you will have the option to use the registrants contact information for technical and billing information. If these are different untick the checkboxes and you will be prompted to complete those on the next page. You can also edit these once the domain has been registered.
After completing all the fields press on "Continue".
Next is the option to add web or email hosting to your order. You can tick the check box for the service you require or "Continue". If you are unsure, you can always come back once the domain has been registered and purchase those options.
You will be taken to Checkout, where you can review your order and see the cost plus GST. Make sure you have checked the order and confirmed that everything is correct. You can also adjust the length of registration, or remove a service. To remove, click on the red x to the right of the service. After reading and understanding the Service Agreement, tick the corresponding checkbox to proceed.
Make the Payment
If you are wanting to store your credit card for future payments or auto renewals, please make sure the checkbox is ticked to securely store my credit card information.
Click on "Process Order"
You will now be prompted to enter your credit card details, after you have completed all the fields on this page press "Submit".
Your domain name will then be registered and a confirmation email will be sent to you.
