You can give someone access to a particalur domain within your account. You might want to do this to allow your developer or IT person access to help manage your website, DNS or mailboxes. To enable third-party access to your domain, please follow these steps:
- Log in to your 1st Domains account
- Navigate to Domain Management, and click on "Manage Domains & Services"
- Select the domain you want to give third party access to
- At the bottom of the Domain Name manager page, there is a section called, "Domain Level Management Settings". Click on configure.
- Click the "Enable Domain Level Login" button if it is not already enabled.
- Set a password. This password is what the third party will use to login. Enter and re-enter the password. Make sure you don't use the same password as the main account.
- You should see a green tick to confirm the password has been updated.
- OPTIONAL: If you want the third party to have the option to renew your domain, you can enable the domain name renewal option.
- To save the settings, click on "Update Password"
The third party can now log in using the DOMAIN NAME and the password you just created. Please do not provide the user with your account ID. As they will not be able to log in with that and their own password.
Note: This access applies only to a single domain. If you have multiple domains requiring third-party access, each will need independent logins.
