How do I set up email aliases in 1st Domains?

An email alias allows you to receive emails sent to different addresses (e.g. info@yourdomain.co.nz, sales@yourdomain.co.nz) all in one mailbox without needing to create separate accounts.

1. Log In to Your 1st Domains Account

2. Go to Domain Management

  • On the Account Manager page, click “Manage Domains & Services”
  • Select the domain you want to manage email for

3. Access Email Settings

  • Under the domain, click “Manage Email” in the Services section

4. Open Mail Management Control Panel

  • This opens the Mail Management Control Panel for your domain

5. Add an Alias

  • Click on the mailbox you which to add the alias too.
  • Under the section “Mail Aliases” there is a text box called “Individual Aliases”
  • In this field you can enter the aliases for this mailbox. Enter the full email address

6. Save the Alias

  • Click “Update” at the bottom of the page to add the new aliases for that mailbox

Now, any email sent to the alias address will be delivered to the target mailbox you specified. You do not need to create or log in to a separate inbox for the alias.
